Ultraviolet (UV) Printing

UV printing is a cutting-edge digital technology that uses ultraviolet light to instantly cure UV-curable inks. This method is recognized for delivering high-resolution, durable prints on a variety of substrates, including paper, plastics, glass, metal, and wood. One of the primary advantages of UV printing is its efficiency: the immediate curing process eliminates drying time, allowing for faster production and handling.

ColDesi offers two main styles of UV printing: UV DTF (Direct-to-Film) and Direct-to-Object. UV DTF printing involves using a transfer film to apply designs onto various substrates. This technique excels at creating detailed, full-colour prints that can be transferred to items such as signage, promotional products, and custom packaging. The process involves printing a design onto a specialized film, which is then placed onto the target substrate, allowing for precise and intricate design transfers.

In contrast, Direct-to-Object UV printing applies UV inks directly onto three-dimensional objects and diverse surfaces such as plastics, metals, glass, and wood. This method is ideal for achieving high-resolution, durable prints without the need for additional transfer steps. It streamlines production by directly printing and curing inks on the object’s surface, ensuring vibrant and long-lasting results.

UV printing is versatile and suitable for various applications, including promotional products like pens and drinkware, custom packaging and labels, indoor and outdoor signage, personalized items such as phone cases and gifts, and decorative elements like wall art and customized interior design. ColDesi’s range of printer models supports both UV DTF and Direct-to-Object printing, offering flexibility and high-quality solutions for diverse commercial and creative needs.
