Adhesive Application in Custom DTF Transfer Prints

The distinctiveness of DTF prints stems from its powder adhesive coating, ensuring a remarkably soft touch. Diverging from conventional thick transfer films or vinyls, the Direct-to-Film process utilizes just two core components: the ink and a fine layer of powdered adhesive.

The digital component of DTF combined with the quality of output created one of the greatest advancements in custom apparel technology. It has historically been challenging to replicate the exceptionally soft texture of half-tone screen printing within a transfer procedure. However, DTF accomplishes this feat and more.

DTF Transfers also allow for a more diverse application working on lights, darks, cotton, polyester and blends. The powder adhesive in DTF is hygroscopic, ensuring it seamlessly merges with the ink print. This fusion results in a robust adhesive that binds exceptionally well to both cotton and polyester fibers.
